From winter 2015/2016 groups can be accompanied by two mountain guides, who will leave your legs tired and a smile on your face!
This new idea has risen from the will to improve safety conditions for the groups and to make clients feel even more comfortable on the mountains. The second guide closes the line and can help clients for any need.
This kind of group can be composed of maximum three clients.
La Thuile is one of the largest ski resorts in Aosta Valley, located at N/W of Valgrisenche (Google Maps).
From the top of its 150 km of ski runs, you can admire the Rutor glacier and the Mont Blanc.

- every day you can decide to come back at the helibase by helicopter and leave you challenged, relaxed, and "skied out”!

4 DAYS - HELI CLASSIC

What is it possible to do in 4 days with one of our multi-lingual UIAGM mountain guide?
- about 8 flights (around 11.000/13.000 vertical meters);
- every day you can decide to come back at the helibase by helicopter and leave you challenged, relaxed, and "skied out”!
- ski-touring or ski off-piste in one of the main ski resorts in the Region.
This
package allows you to truly discover our amazing terrain to the
maximum. Blessed with glaciers, open fields and tree skiing, not to
mention the possibility of descent into Val d’Isere or St. Foy.
What is it possible to do in 6 days with one of our multi-lingual UIAGM mountain guide?
- about 10 flights (around 12.000/15.000 vertical meters);
- every day you can decide to come back at the helibase by helicopter and leave you challenged, relaxed, and "skied out”!
- ski-touring or ski off-piste in one of the main ski resorts in the Region.
Prices available on demand. The cost depends on the number of flights.
Each group can be composed of up to 4 people.
Reimbursement
The group has to pay in advance the cost for the mountain guide and it will be not refunded.
The flights are paid at the end of the stay by credit card and the price divided by the participants.
A typical day of Heliskiing in La Thuile
The arrival at the hotel is suggested the day before in order to check in and soak up the Italian atmosphere.
If you arrive around 6 pm you will be able to meet the mountain guide and you will have more information about the organisation and the itineraries we propose.
On the first day, after a good breakfast, your mountain guide will provide you safety equipment (ARTVA and ABS airbag ruchsack) and will explain you how to use them.
Depending on weather and temperature conditions, we will decide at what time the first groups will be flying and we will tell it to you day by day in the evening.
With our minibus you will reach, in just few minutes, the helicopter's landing area. Depending on weather and snow conditions, you will fly on Ruitor or Ormelune peacks (Valgrisenche).
After some descents you can decide to stop and to have lunch!
In the early season, when there are cold weather conditions, the group usually reaches the restaurant Perret in Valgrisenche to have a great Italian lunch and relax a little before continuing the day of heliskiing (the flight to reach the restaurant Perret is not included in the package; if the snow conditions are good it is possible to reach the restaurant by skiing).
If the sun is shining in the sky, you can also choose to have a nice picnic in the heart of nature.
Otherwise, you can simply take a few snacks and energy drinks with you and conclude your day with a good meal in La Thuile: the Riondet, for example, is a typical and good restaurant on the ski slopes.
Generally, your last run is on Ruitor glacier.
Depending on snow and weather conditions your mountain guide could propose you to come back in La Thuile skiing, passing through Sainte Foy and La Rosière. In this case you will have lunch in a typical restaurant in France.
If the above options are not possible because of bad weather, you will come back in La Thuile by minibus.
You can end your day relaxing in the Pré-Saint-Didier Spa (20 minutes drive far from La Thuile).
