Saint Pierre is strategically and logistically very well located as well: from there you can easily and quickly drive to La Thuile or Valgrisenche to heliski, or to Courmayeur and Pila for off piste in case of bad weather.
The mountain guide will come to pick you up every morning and based on the weather and snow conditions he will explain and decide what is the best option for the day: in case it is not possible to fly neither in Valgrisenche nor in La Thuile, you will not need to drive down the valley and then drive up another one again to get some skiing!
Being already at the center of the region gives more freedom and flexibility to the guide, who will propose you an alternative day off piste skiing, or ski touring, where he thinks that conditions are the best.

Comfortable and tidy, the Hotel La Meridiana is located at 10 minutes from the center of Aosta and 20 minutes from Valgrisenche. Very strategical position both to heliski or to move in some other ski resort in the region in case of bad weather (La Thuile, 30 min; Courmayeur, 30 min; Pila, 15 min). |

Daily logistic if you accommodate in Aosta
Every morning the mountain guide will come to pick you up at your hotel and together you will drive to Valgrisenche (30 min. drive), where you will take off for your heliski day.
After some descents you can decide to stop and to have lunch at the restaurant at the Base.
At the end of your heliski day you will drive back to Saint Pierre with your guide and therefore enjoy the comfort of your hotel or go for a tour in the charming historical city center of Aosta. |
